OUR HISTORY
In 1963, USG Water Solutions began as Utility Service Co., Inc., offering water tank painting and maintenance services in Madison, NC. After launching the first subscription-based tank maintenance program in the late ’80s, we moved our headquarters to Perry, GA, and expanded nationwide.
Over time, we added water quality services, concrete restoration, and grew from coast to coast. In 2023, we joined Turnspire Capital Partners and welcomed John Flaugher as CEO. From 1963 to today, we’ve consistently provided personalized, local service with an unwavering commitment to safety and quality.

Mr. Flaugher has also held Board membership and Board advisory roles with multiple companies in the water and chemical industry.

Jonathan Cato is the Chief Operating Officer of USG Water Solutions (USG). In this capacity, he oversees all lines of business as well as the Operations group and the company’s 11 service centers to deliver consistent results. Prior to joining USG, Jonathan spent 10 years in the mining industry as a chemical process engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Materials Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

William (Bill) Marquardt is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in C-suite leadership roles. He has served as a CFO for several multinational entities, and has a robust background in restructuring, turnarounds, and forensic accounting. Notably, Bill has served as CFO of a multinational consulting firm and as president and CFO of Andean-region captive finance companies based in Lima, Peru, as well as on the board of its affiliated insurance company.

Shane is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of USG Water Solutions (USG) and its subsidiaries. In this capacity, he serves as legal advisor to the executive managers and oversees the company’s legal, insurance, and governance functions. Prior to USG, Shane was the VP, Legal and Risk Management at SUEZ Advanced Solutions. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Georgia and a Juris Doctor degree from Mercer University.

Ryan is a life-long resident of Georgia with a B.S. in Business Administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Ryan has 22 years of technical sales and sales leadership experience selling long-term maintenance contracts, capital equipment, and analytical instrumentation solutions to municipal and industrial clients in the water and energy sectors. Prior to joining USG Water Solutions, Ryan was the North American Services Growth Leader for Honeywell.

Grace has worked in all areas of the HR profession. As the VP of HR, Grace brings her knowledge, leadership, and passion to make USG Water Solutions an employer of choice. She has 12 plus years of experience in the engineering and utilities industry.

Sunita is a Computer Science Engineer from MIT India, with 26 years of IT experience in driving major technology transformation, modernization, implementing global ERP projects, and system integrations within intricate IT landscapes. She led and delivered enterprise restructuring, M&As and spin offs. Her diverse industry experience spans utilities, safety, services, financial, manufacturing, supply chain & distribution, engineering, and gaming. She joined USG in 2017 and is responsible for IT strategy, driving digital transformation, and leading innovative business technology solutions.
