Before You Commit
Before committing to AMI, your utility needs proof, not promises.
Our AMI cellular pilot lets you test AMI in your own system, evaluate installation and performance, and build the financial case your board needs to approve a full deployment.
Cellular AMI Pilot Process FAQ
The cellular AMI pilot is a small pilot deployment of an advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) that tests how water meters communicate over cellular networks.
An AMI cellular demonstration typically runs for several months, giving your utility sufficient time to collect enough data on system performance, meter accuracy, and water usage trends.
Your utility team, from operations staff to decision-makers, can track live data, review trends, and explore opportunities through the dashboard and customer portal.
The report provides operational insights, financial analyses, an OPEX baseline, and recommendations to help your board make an informed decision about AMI adoption.
We provide three bundles for the pilot. The customer can choose 5, 10 or 20 cellular endpoints with meters. This will include cellular network, headend software and customer portal hosting.
After an AMI cellular demonstration, you can use the insights you’ve discovered to plan a full AMI deployment, make operational improvements, or justify investments to your board.
Cellular AMI is the right choice for a water utility when it wants to avoid massive upfront infrastructure costs, serves a sprawling or rural service areas, has limited staff for network maintenance, or requires rapid, plug-and-play deployment.
